More glass and a new name for 1400 West Randolph: This is Parq Fulton
Parq Fulton is the new name for Marquette Companies’ apartment tower going up on the far end of the West Loop at 1400 West Randolph.
As the glass curtain wall continues to wrap around the tower, progress looks to be at or near the 20-story mark, heading towards 26 stories in all.

Visits to Skydeck aren’t quite back to pre-pandemic normal. I usually go up there and spend a couple hours taking pictures of everything I see. Three times. Can’t do that anymore. So I got what I could remember I wanted to get.
Like tower cranes. Some of them, anyway.
One of the secrets to taking photos from Skydeck is avoiding the bad windows. Much of what looks like smooth, clear glass will distort your pictures. Short on time, I failed to be selective. I also failed to be prepared.
You’ll see what I mean.
Clarendale Six Corners is missing; it’s too far away. I also tried to see the tower crane in Oak Park, but had no luck. Oh for a tripod, more time, and something ridiculous like a 1000mm zoom lens.
320 South Canal is the easiest one to see. That booom just about touches the Sears Tower. Okay, not really. But it’s nearby. 
609 West Randolph. 
1043 West Randolph. I forgot to look for ths one, so instead of using a zoom lens, I cropped a photo. Fail. 
1400 and 1454 West Randolph. 
Gild Chicago. Another one I forgot to look for. It is *barely* visible, and only partially so, dead-center of this crop.

Let’s walk across Ogden Avenue from 1454 West Randolph, which we saw last week, for a look at how work is progressing at 1400 West Randolph.
Same team involved on this one as well, but on a larger building: 26 stories and 278 units. Developed by Marquette Companies, designed by Brininstool + Lynch, and built by Power Construction.
1400 West Randolph is on its way up in the far-off West Loop
1400 West Randolph will deliver 278 apartments to the far reaches of the West Loop.
Marquette Companies has a pair of residential developments under construction at the outer reaches of the West Loop. This one, 1400 West Randolph, should make quite a statement when rises to its full 26-story height.
1400 West Randolph is situated on the corner of Randolph and Ogden. It 278 rental units (studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments) and 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Construction has been underway since last year, when foundation, tower crane and full-build permits were all issued.
Brininstool + Lynch is the design architect.
Below you’ll see progress photos from December 2020 and March 2021 visits. That’s Power Construction on the build. Marquette plans an early 2022 opening.
